To further elevate the onboard experience of its customers, Air France has been testing an immersive entertainment system with virtual reality headsets since 1st August 2017.

The system which has been tested on board Paris-CDG-St. Martin flights will allow passengers to enjoy 3D and 2D films or series in their own private movie theatre in isolation from the rest of the cabin.

Business class passengers aboard the airline's A340 on this route can try the new form of in-flight entertainment. Four headsets are offered on board with a selection of some forty films and series.

At the end of this test period, Air France will roll out the new immersive entertainment system on other flights in the months ahead, in partnership with the startup SkyLights.

Co-founded in 2015 by David Dicko, a former Air France executive and pilot, SkyLights uses the latest cinematic VR technology to transform the inflight experience of passengers.
