RwnadAir, the national carrier of Rwanda, has commenced a non-stop flight service between Kigali and Brussels, the capital city of Belgium, its second destination in Europe.

The inaugural flight operated today by the airline's brand new Airbus A330-200 aircraft, took off from Kigali International Airport at 10:10 local time and touched down at Brussels Airport at 18:40 local time.

RwandAir's Airbus A330-200 is WiFi-enabled and is configured to carry a total of 264 passengers including 20 in business class, 21 in premium economy and 223 in economy cabin.

The launch of flights to Brussels comes after the airline’s successful entry into the London market last month (May). The new route takes RwandAir’s European destinations to two.

With a fleet of 12 aircraft including two wide-body Airbus A330s, RwandAir now flies to 23 destinations across East, Central, West and Southern Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
