RwandAir's Inaugural Flight Touches Down in Mumbai

RwandAir, the national airline of Rwanda has commenced scheduled flight services between Kigali and Mumbai India with the launch of a four weekly non-stop service between the two cities.

The inaugural flight operated by a Boeing 737-800NG touched down at Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport at 11.10 local time on Tuesday, April 4, 2017.

The maiden flight had earlier at 12:30 am local time, departed Kigali International Airport, Kigali with over 80 passengers onboard.

The Kigali-Mumbai service will be operated by the airline's brand new Boeing 737-800NG configured to carry a total of 154 passengers including 16 business class passengers and 138 economy class passengers.

RwandAir will launch its first ever service to Europe in the second quarter of the year with the commencement of a direct flight between Kigali and London Gatwick with effect from 26 May 2017.
