Spreading Like Wild Fire, Air Peace Lands in Sokoto

Nigeria's Air Peace on Wednesday commenced scheduled passenger service from Lagos and Abuja to the capital city of Sokoto State in the northern part of Nigeria.

The inaugural flight which touched down at the Sultan Abubakar III International Airport, Sokoto at 12.45pm was welcomed by Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal and other dignitaries.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Bashir Garba, Governor Tambuwal said that Sokoto State reached out to Air Peace because of efficient and reliable services which the airline has been known for.

Air Peace Chairman, Allen Onyema who was represented by the Quality and Safety Manager of the airline, Mr. Patrick Achurefe, said the launch of Sokoto service is a new dawn for air travellers on the route, with a promise of on-time departure, safety and comfort of travellers and affordable flight services.

With the commencement of Sokoto operations, Air Peace has now launched its fifth route in six months having started Lagos-Benin-Lagos and the Abuja-Benin-Abuja routes in September 2016, Lagos-Uyo-Lagos in December 2016.

On February 16, Air Peace inaugurated its regional operations with the launch of a daily service between Lagos, Nigeria and Accra, Ghana.

The airline, on 21 February, 2017 took delivery of its twelfth aircraft, a Boeing 737-500 with capacity for 114 passengers.
