Abuja Airport Closure: Ethiopian Airlines to Fly to Kaduna

Ethiopian Airlines has announced its resolve to operate into Kaduna Airport while the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja is closed by March 8 for repairs on the runway.

The Airline's Traffic and Sales Manager, Mrs. Firiehiwot Mekonnen disclosed this to journalists in Abuja after a meeting with the Minister of State, Aviation, Hadi Sirika.

The meeting which was held behind closed doors also had representatives of other foreign airlines operating in the country in attendance.

According to Mrs. Mekonnen, Ethiopian Airlines' experts had inspected Kaduna Airport and found it fit for flight operations.

During the six-week closure of Abuja Airport, Ethiopian Airlines will operate one daily flight to Kaduna using the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
