Ethiopian Airlines Takes Delivery of Third A350 XWB
Ethiopian Airlines, the largest and fastest growing African airline yesterday, took delivery of its third Airbus A350 at the Airbus delivery center in Toulouse France.
The A350-900 is named ErtAle after Erta Ale, a large basaltic shield volcano located in the Afar Region of north-eastern Ethiopia. It is the third out of a total of 14 Airbus A350s it ordered in 2009.
Just like its first two A350s which were delivered in June and August 2016, Ethiopian Airlines' third A350-900 is configured with 343 seats including 30 business class seats and 313 economy class seats.
The new aircraft features the latest high-definition touchscreen personal monitors with even more movies, television series, and audio channels, the lowest twin engine noise level, advanced air conditioning technology, and full LED mood lighting.
Ethiopian Airlines is the fastest growing Airline in Africa. In its seven decades of operation, Ethiopian has become one of the continent’s leading carriers, unrivalled in efficiency and operational success.
Ethiopian operates the youngest and most modern fleet in Africa including ultra-modern and environmentally friendly aircraft like Airbus A350 XWB and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
