Two Nigerian Carriers, Air Peace and Danar Air have apologized to their teeming customers for the flight delays being experience in the country due to low visibility occasioned by bad weather.

In a statement, Dana Air said "Dear Valued Guests, we sincerely apologize for the delays which is due to bad weather and poor visibility. We are monitoring the situation and as soon as we get necessary clearance, we will be glad to welcome you on board our award-winning service."

Air Peace, in a separate statement said "Dear Valued Customers, we are currently experiencing low weather visibility across the country. We sincerely apologise for the delay this may cause to your travel plans. Safety is our No. 1 Priority and we appeal for your understanding. Thank you"

The airlines however, promised that their services would return to normal as soon as the situation improved.

Thousands of air travellers in Nigeria have in the last couple of days, been stranded at various Nigerian airports as airlines delay and cancel flights due to unfavorable weather conditions.

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), had on 4 December, 2016 issued advisory circular to pilots and airlines warning them about about low visibility caused by harmattan haze.
