Nigeria's domestic carrier, Dana Air has denied the report about a plane crash involving its aircraft some where in Lagos as entirely untrue and should be disregarded.

The airline through its Media and Communications Manager, Kingsley Ezenwa, said the pictures used in the said reports were pictures of the 2012 crash involving one of its aircraft.

"Our attention has been drawn to a report insinuating that a Dana Air plane crashed somewhere in Lagos on Sunday, 11 December, 2016.

We wish to state unequivocally that the report is entirely false and malicious, as it carries pictures and report of the previous incident

At Dana Air, the safety and comfort of our guests and crew is a major priority to us and we will continue to adhere strictly to all local and international regulations in the delivery of safe, reliable and world-class air transport.

We also regret any inconveniences that the alleged crash may have caused our passengers and assure them that the matter is being investigated”‎ the airline said.

Dana Air is one of Nigeria’s leading airlines, operating over 27 daily domestic flights to Abuja, Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Owerri and Uyo.
