PaxEx: Delta Completes International Wi-Fi Installation
Delta has completed installation of Wi-Fi on its entire long-haul international fleet, enabling customers flying on its flights between the United States and Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and South America to stay connected at 30,000 feet.
Delta is now the only U.S. airline to offer Wi-Fi on all of its long-haul international flights and operates one of the world’s largest Wi-Fi equipped fleets, with more than 1,100 aircraft operating more than 3,500 connected flights every day.
International Wi-Fi is available on Delta’s Boeing 747, Boeing 777, Boeing 767, international Boeing 757-200 and Airbus A330 fleets. More than 400,000 Delta customers per day have access to in-flight Wi-Fi.
Delta’s international Wi-Fi is powered by Gogo’s high-speed Ku-Band satellite technology. Delta began installing Wi-Fi on its domestic aircraft in 2008 and its international aircraft in 2012.
