A court in Kenya has ordered a stop to planned industrial action next week by pilots at Kenya Airways according to reports by Airwise.

The Kenya Airline Pilots Association (KALPA) issued a seven-day notice for a strike to start on Tuesday October 18, but the Kenyan Employment and Labour Relations Court ordered the stop on Friday.

The government had called for the strike threat to be withdrawn and said it would take action against anyone that defied it.

KALPA said when they called the strike that they wanted “a comprehensive change of guard” in management at the airline.

Kenyan media reported on Friday that the government was about to replace senior management at the airline.
