Air Canada to Launch Second Direct Service to North Africa
North American carrier, Air Canada has announced that it will begin a non-stop service between Montreal and Algiers, Algeria subject to government approvals.
The service which will commence on 26 June 2017, will be operated by the airline’s leisure travel subsidiary Air Canada Rouge using Boeing 767-300ER aircraft configured with 282 seats.
In a related vein, Air Canada's Casablanca service will return on April 19, 2017 on a year-round basis with three flights a week, increasing to daily service in June 2017 and continuing with three flights a week during the winter season. Flights will be operated by Air Canada Rouge with a 282-seat Boeing 767-300ER.
Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge and its regional airline partners flying under the Air Canada Express banner operate on average approximately 2,100 flights per week between Montreal and 80 destinations.
