Passengers travelling with Kenya Airways now have various options to upgrade their economy class tickets to the airline’s award winning business class.

Bid to Upgrade

Are you holding an economy class ticket? No problem at all. Kenya Airways’ bid to upgrade program allows you to place a price you would like to pay for the upgrade to business class. If your bid is the highest, you will travel in style in Africa’s leading business class.

Just make the airline an offer online before 48 hours to your departure time and with a little luck, they will get back to you with a bid acceptance.

Upgrade at the airport

When you reach Kenya Airways’ check-in counter at the airport, request for an upgrade opportunity to be considered and the following options will be presented.

Upgrade using your flying blue miles

If you are a Flying Blue member and you are flying out of Nairobi, you can redeem your Flying Blue miles at the airport for an upgrade to business class on Kenya Airways. You will also be able to redeem for an upgrade for a companion travelling on the same flight with them.

Upgrade and pay at the check-in counter

If you hold a valid and qualified economy class ticket and you wish to upgrade to business class without bidding or using your miles, a small fee will be added to allow you to upgrade to business class. This upgrade will only be valid for the specific sector of travel.
