Chairman of Air Peace Donates to Nigerian Police
Nigeria's Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, has commended the Chairman of Air Peace, Chief Allen Onyema, for building a police station in Uli, Ihiala local council of Anambra State in south east Nigeria.
Speaking during the commissioning of the project last weekend, the IGP urged other Nigerians to emulate Onyema’s gesture aimed at ensuring security and peace in the country through his Foundation for Ethnic Harmony in Nigeria (FEHN).
Onyema said he constructed the station outside his Mbosi community because he was convinced that all Nigerians must support the Federal Government’s effort to ensure efficient policing.
Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Uli Police Station, CSP Odion Ekeinde also commended Onyema for building a befitting facility for the police to operate in the area.
In his response, Onyema said he was motivated to build the facility when he was informed that security at the police station had become porous, adding that he was also responsible for constructing a fence round the police station.
He urged Nigerians to support government in efforts to secure the country.
