In a bid to support its renewed focus on cost optimization and modernisation, Kenya Airways has selected air transport communications provider SITA, to launch a new communication solution across its global network.

Based in Geneva, SITA’s communication technology Connect will be used by Kenya Airways to enhance its route network management.

The airline will use SITA Connect to connect employees and sales offices to its central systems and applications, which will be used to manage reservations, check-in and boarding.

More than 300 airports in over 100 countries are already using AirportHub, SITA’s shared connectivity platform.

The company’s common-use infrastructure enables Kenya Airways to connect securely to its central systems from any airport in the AirportHub network.

Kenya Airways carries more than four million passengers per year and flies to 53 destinations, including 43 in Africa.
