Ethiopian Airlines to Operate A350 on London Route

Ethiopian Airlines will deploy its new Airbus A350XWB aircraft on the daily service between Addis Ababa and London Heathrow from 15 August, 2016.


The new Airbus A350-900 aircraft will replace the Boeing 777-200LR currently on the service. Reservation for the A350 service opened on 22 July, 2016.


Ethiopian Airlines took delivery of its first A350-900 on 28 June, 2016, in Toulouse, France, becoming the first African carrier to fly the new-generation aircraft.


In Ethiopian Airlines' configuration, the A350-900 has capacity for 348 passengers including 30 in Cloud Nine business class and 318 in economy class.

The airline has a total of 14 A350-900s on order and is scheduled to take delivery of its second A350 aircraft this month.
