To ensure seamless and hitch-free Hajj operations this year, the management of Max Air Nigeria has acquired two additional Boeing 747-400 series aircraft.

While briefing newsmen shortly after one of the new aircraft landed at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, the company’s spokesperson, Alhaji Ibrahim Dahiru said the second aircraft would come to Nigeria shortly.

He also said Max Air intended to face-out their Boeing 747-300 series and replaced them with the latest series of 747-400 which he said the company has so far acquired three.

Each of the new aircraft has the capacity of accommodating 503 passengers making subsequent Hajj operations easier for the company.

“Max Air is determined to provide better services to its teeming customers, hence can do everything possible within its power to improve its services. It is in view of this that we acquired two latest series of 747 aircraft,” he said.

Max Air airlifted 36,000 pilgrims to the holy land for the annual pilgrimage in 2015.
