The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Medview Airlines, Muneer Bankole, says his airline has entered into talks with Boeing for the purchase of two Boeing 737-800s.

"I just came back from a trip to Boeing," he said in an interview with the Daily Trust newspaper. "I was a special guest there."

They are putting two Boeing 737-800 series in the production for Medview. They are interested in our patronage of Boeing materials and they are saying what can they do for us; they even offered us a Boeing 777."

Medview Airlines currently operates a fleet of 2 Boeing 737-400s, 2 Boeing 737-500, and 1 Boeing 767-300ER on flights within Nigeria as well as to Accra, London Gatwick and Jeddah.

Bankole added that Medview was expecting a Boeing 747-400 and a Boeing 777-200ER for peak summer season as well as Hajj flights in August.
