Starting from 1 July, 2016, Emirates will reduce the frequency of its services to Nigeria, as the airline closes reservation on one of its two daily Dubai – Lagos services.

EK781/782 is no longer available for reservation after this date as the afternoon Dubai departure to Lagos is cancelled.

Although the airline has neither made an official announcement nor given the reasons for this, it may not be unconnected with the dwindling value of Naira and the inability of foreign carriers to repatriate their funds.

A dummy booking on Emirates' website for travel on 2 July, 2016, shows only one daily flight available from Lagos to Dubai.
