Royal Air Maroc has commenced services between Casablanca and Rio de Janeiro Galeao effective 3 May, a route which will operate via its existing Sao Paulo Guarulhos operations.

The thrice-weekly service will be served by the airline’s Boeing 767-300 fleet. Flights which operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays will be flown on a Casablanca-Sao Paulo-Rio-Casablanca routing, while Wednesday services will rotate in the opposite direction.

According to OAG Schedules Analyser data, the route will face no direct competition. Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo are the only destinations that Royal Air Maroc currently serves in South America.
