Air Seychelles Expands Flights to Mumbai and Mauritius

Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, has announced that it will expand its flying in the region with the introduction of a fifth weekly service between Seychelles and Mumbai starting from Thursday, 28 January, 2016 and a fifth weekly service between Seychelles and Mauritius starting from Thursday, 4 February, 2016.

The new services to Mumbai and Mauritius have been introduced to accommodate the growing traffic between these regional centres and Seychelles.

Joël Morgan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Transport and Chairman of Air Seychelles, said: “The introduction of additional services to destinations in the region means further expanding Seychelles as a regional hub.

Since the launch of the nonstop services to Mumbai and Mauritius, Air Seychelles has continued to enhance its travel offering and build on its operation.

Roy Kinnear, Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles, said: "We are delighted to meet the strong travel demand to and from Mumbai and Mauritius markets by introducing the fifth scheduled service to both destinations.

“These services, operated by Air Seychelles Airbus A320 aircraft, will provide an additional 544 return seats per week. Both, Mauritius and India remain very important regional markets for Air Seychelles and we are committed to developing these routes and carrying a greater number of leisure travellers across our growing network.

As part of these network changes, the Dar es Salaam service will be moved from the current Wednesday operation to Thursday effective 28 January 2016.
