Medview Airlines Commences Lagos-London Service

Nigeria's Med-View Airline on Friday morning began commercial flight operations on the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos and London Gatwick Airport, United Kingdom.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the inaugural flight had the airline’s Managing Director, Muneer Bankole, on board.

The 767-300ER aircraft, christened ‘Abeke’, took off from the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos en-route Gatwick Airport in London.

The airline’s media consultant, Obuke Eyibotha, told NAN before the departure of the aircraft that the airline was committed to sustaining flight operations on the new route.

Eyibotha said the airline was on the Lagos-London route to represent Nigeria as a flag carrier and also to supply the missing link for air travellers.

Eyibotha said the airline, apart from its reasonable fares, had put in place some innovations to enhance customer care.

NAN reports that the airline is beginning operations on the route with four weekly flights.

According to the airline, it will operate flights on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
