Air Côte d’Ivoire, the national airline of Ivory Coast has commenced 4 weekly flights from and to the francophone giant city of Abidjan and Nigeria’s commercial city of Lagos.

Air Côte d’Ivoire commenced flight operations into Lagos arriving on the 3rdJanuary, 2015 with its Airbus A319-TUSTSA with capacity for 12 Business and 96 Economy passengers while the inaugural flight departed Lagos on Sunday 4thJanuary 2015.

The Ivory Coast national carrier’s Abidjan-Lagos 4 weekly frequencies is scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays at 10:10 am from Lagos to Abidjan and returns on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The airline plans to commence additional frequencies from Lagos to Kinshasa via Abidjan three times a week soon.

Air Côte d’Ivoire based in Abidjan succeeded the former country’s flag carrier, Air Ivoire. It was set up on 15 May 2012, as a private-public entity, partially owned by Air France —which intended to make Port Bouet Airport a regional hub— and the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED).

From its Hub in Abidjan it operates to over 14 destinations in West and Central Africa including: Accra, Bamako, Brazzaville, Conakry, Cotonou, Dakar, Doula, Freetown, Kinshasa, Lagos, Libreville, Lome, Monrovia, N’Djamena, Niamey, Ougadougou, Pointe Noire and Younde.
