Kenya Airways has enhanced its position as the airline with the youngest fleet in Africa with the delivery of its second Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft.

The new modern aircraft touched down at Kenya Airways’ hub at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi on Sunday (November 23, 2014) at 1300 hours.

The Boeing 737-800 is the second of Kenya Airways’ such aircraft with Boeing Sky Interior. The airline expects four more such aircraft.

The Boeing 737-800 is one of the best-selling versions of the successful Next-Generation 737 family with a maximum range of 5,449 km and a cruise speed up to 848 km/h.

The Boeing 737-800, featuring the most advanced technology in wings, is a high-speed, fuel-efficient and low-noise model offering reliability, comfort and safety for passengers.

The aircraft also has enlarged window surrounds, a contemporary coloured cabin interior and LED mood lighting enhancing the sense of spaciousness.

It adds to Kenya Airways’ fleet that includes Boeing 787 Dreamliners, Boeing 777-300ERs and Embraer E190 jets.
