Air Peace has secured its Air Operators Certificate from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) with plans to commence domestic operations in due course.

The start-up has already sourced a fleet of five Boeing 737-500s and three Dornier 328-300s.

Air Peace is the latest entrant into the Nigerian aviation field behind Azman Air (AZM, Kano) and Discovery Air (DO, Lagos) which both debuted their maiden domestic flights earlier in the year.

Among the other candidates that are also looking to launch services are West Link Airlines (9L, Abuja) and Hak Air (Lagos) which were both certified in June last year.
