Enugu Airport Closure: Ethiopian Airlines Flies to Port Harcourt

Following the closure of Nigeria's Enugu Airport, Ethiopian Airlines will operate flights to Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State of Nigeria from September 3, 2019 until 23 November 2019. The move of operations to Port Harcourt is to maintain Ethiopian Airlines service to the South Eastern part of Nigeria while Enugu Airport is closed for renovation. The flight to Port Harcourt will be linked to Ndjamena, Chad on on September 4th and 5th. From September 5, the service will operate direct between Addis Ababa and Port Harcourt. Kenya Airways has recorded a 12.2% increase in revenue for the six months period ended June 30, 2019 attributed to the positive performance of recently introduced routes, in line with the airline’s network expansion strategy. United States Imposes New Reciprocity Visa Fees on Nigerians

Effective 29 August, 2019, Nigerian citizens applying for the United States visa, will be required to pay a visa issuance fee, or reciprocity fee for non-immigrant visas in B, F, H1B, I, L, and R visa categories. The new reciprocity fee range from $80 to $110 (28,8000 to N39,600) depending on the visa category, and can only be paid at the U.S. Embassy or the U.S. Consulate General.
