Network Expansion: RwandAir to Launch Flights to Addis Ababa

Rwanda's national carrier, RwandAir, will commence scheduled flights between Kigali and Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia with effect from April 2019. Although the exact commencement date is yet to be announced, the airline will operate five weekly direct flights from Kigali to Addis Ababa with a Bombardier CRJ-900 aircraft. With the new direct flights to Addis Ababa, RwandAir expects to offer better flight connections within East, West and Southern Africa. Kenya Airways has commenced daily operations between Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi and Aden Adde International Airport Mogadishu, Somalia. Etihad Airways will introduce the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on its Abu Dhabi-Barcelona service, effective 22 February 2019, replacing the Airbus A330-200 currently on the route.
