Kenya Airways Records Improved Six Months Results

Kenya Airways yesterday, announced a 30.8 percent improvement in pre-tax results for the six month period ended June 30, 2018. The improvement has been attributed to passenger numbers which increased by 6.6 percent to 2.3 million, while cargo uplift increased by 13 percent to 31,973 tonnes over the same period last year. The airline's load factor increased by 2.8 points to 75.9 percent. Revenue increased by 3.1 percent due to increased passenger traffic and overall yield improvement. ATC Strike: Ethiopian Airlines to Maintain Normal Flight Operations

Nigeria's Air Peace Takes Delivery of Second Boeing 777 Aircraft

Nigeria’s leading carrier, Air Peace on Saturday took delivery of its second Boeing 777 aircraft in preparation for its long-haul international operations. The Boeing 777-300 touched down at the Murtala Mohamed International Airport, Lagos at 1.36 p.m to a rousing welcome by the airline's staff and the traditional water canon salute . The aircraft named "Ojochide" and marked 5N-BUU, was flown into Lagos by Air Peace Chief Pilot, Capt. Victor Egonu and Senior First Officer Emmanuel Iwhiwhu.
